We're putting on this Sunday soirée to raise money for the Milton Democratic Committee – so that these pro-democracy baddies can keep doing what they do: support progressive candidates up and down the ballot, host educational and community-building events, and continue to fight like hell to keep democracy alive right here in Saratoga County. The forces of authoritarianism are organized, well-funded, and relentless... BUT. Political engagement shouldn't mean stuffy rubber-chicken dinners or boring speeches. It should be FUN. It should be JOYFUL. It can, occasionally, involve a jaw-dropping dance move that defies the laws of gravity during a flawless lip sync performance.
