2019 Village Elections are March 19th!

Contested elections make for representative democracy!

On March 19th, residents of Ballston Spa, Schuylerville, and South Glens Falls will see candidates endorsed by the Saratoga County Democratic Committee on the ballot for village offices.

In South Glens Falls, Liz Wilcox and Brigid Martin, running for 2 trustee positions, wanted a public debate but were rebuffed by their opponents. Joe Orlow and Tim Carota declined the invitation from the League of Women Voters to discuss issues in a community forum.  Read about it here.

In Ballston Spa, Liz Kormos and Christine Fitzpatrick are running on the A Better BSpa line and want to put their extensive financial experience to work correcting some of the issues with village finances.  Learn more about them in Follow the Money.

In Schuylerville, 3 positions are up for election.  After a technical error in filing results from the village caucus, Republican candidates successfully petitioned for a third line for ballot access.  This article introduces the candidates and explains how they got back on the ballot.

Please, come out and make your voice heard March 19th!
